Can friends and family come to watch the tournament? Is there an admission fee?
We encourage spectators to come and support the teams! While there is a registration fee for our competitors. There is no cost to attend for friends and family; admission is free for all spectators.
Will the tournament matches be broadcast online?
Yes! We're excited to stream the action live on both the official SCSE YouTube and Twitch channels. We'll share the direct links on our website and social media channels closer to the event date.
What is the tournament structure for Rocket League and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
Registered teams will receive a detailed document outlining the specific format, rulesets, and schedule closer to May 2nd.
What qualifies as a "community-based program" for eligibility?
Alongside traditional high school teams, eligibility extends to organized after-school or youth programs (like those run by Parks & Rec, YMCA, local clubs, etc.) that serve high school-aged students and facilitate their participation in scholastic esports competitions.
Should players bring their own controllers or other peripherals?
We will provide controllers for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stations and keyboard/mouse setups for Rocket League stations. However, players are strongly encouraged to bring their own preferred peripherals (controllers, keyboards, mice, headsets) if they prefer.
Is parking available at the venue, and is there a cost?
Yes, ample free parking is available for participants and spectators! Please follow any event signage upon arrival.
Will food and drinks be available for purchase?
Yes, we've arranged for multiple food trucks to be on-site throughout the day, offering a variety of options for purchase.
